SAMANTHA Armytage has been uninvited from a charity event after yesterday’s Sex and the City skit on Sunrise with Kristin Davis backfired. The surprise decision was announced on the show this morning, after yesterday’s segment featuring the Sex and the City star drew widespread criticism from around the world and from the star herself. “I was asked to MC (an) event and conduct a Q and A with Kristin on stage and I immediately accepted,” Armytage said. “Since our interview yesterday, organisers have asked Sam not to host the event now or to attend it at all, which was unexpected,” Kochie added. “I always was, and I still am, very happy to host this fundraiser for such an important cause,” an upset Armatage concluded. The Sunrise hosts finished by saying they have the “utmost respect” for Kristen Davis and the UNHCR and wished them luck. “It was meant to be a bit of fun,” Kochie said.
